Playa Resorts & Resorts is collaborating with Marriott Worldwide to debut the primary all-inclusive resort for Marriott’s Luxurious Assortment model.
Sanctuary Cap Cana, the posh all-inclusive within the Dominican Republic, shall be rebranded Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxurious Assortment Grownup All-Inclusive Resort. The change is predicted to occur this summer season.
The adults-only, 325-room resort is a non-public 30,000-acre enclave. It opened in 2007 underneath the Alsol model and was renovated in 2014, reopening as an adults-only property.
Playa assumed administration of Sanctuary Cap Cana in 2017. In 2019, a $45 million renovation added 140 suites in two new towers; a redo of the 20,000 square-foot Sanctuary Spa and health heart; a brand new foyer; and a redesign of eating places, bars and swimming pools.
Different Sanctuary Cap Cana facilities embody the Punta Espada golf course, a marina with greater than 150 slips, an equestrian heart with two polo fields and Sanctuary City, the resort’s personal nightlife vacation spot.
Owned by Francisco Martinez, Sanctuary Cap Cana will turn out to be the primary Playa-managed resort underneath a Marriott Worldwide model. Playa operates all-inclusives within the Caribbean and Mexico for Hilton and Hyatt.
